I'm Peter Kirwan, an emerging cyber threat intelligence (CTI) analyst with a background that bridges analytical and communication skills.
Prior to my five years in cyber and IT, I spent six years in communications roles. These included marketing and home security communications, but also explaining the internet (and security!) to people turning on a computer for the first time. Going back further, I spent a decade in logic, inference and reasoning. Specifically, I studied and taught philosophy, winning some research and writing prizes along the way.
I spent so many years thinking about concepts and arguments because I like puzzles and Threat Intelligence is full of interesting puzzles which, if solved, help protect things that matter.
Outside of work I spend my time goalkeeping, playing chess (baronmuppetski on chess.com and lichess.org), cooking vegetarian food and writing dystopian sci-fi comedy.
